wonder where you are.
feel your limbs.
wait for your heartbeat.
feel your blood cruising.
your mouth dry.
start catching your breath.
feel your throat closing.
parched tongue against arid wall of teeth.
open your eyes.
as your pupils dilate and adjust to the darkness, you feel a mild throbbing at the back of your head.
savor the pain.
stay suspended in sheer stupor.
sway with the current as you try to get up.
stay flat as numbness enfolds you.
you begin to panic.
your heart races as it tries to enervate your limp body.
with wild eyes you try to move your arms and feet.
your chest tightens.
you feel as it totally closes.
every tissue screaming for air.
you open your mouth to scream but no sound escapes.
as despair and darkness zap you of your remaining energy you utter a silent prayer inside your mind.
then you wake up.
